Christine Harmar-Brown is a theatre and television writer, script editor and director.  Her TV and theatre credits include a number of issue-based plays for young people, the four part drama Inside Out and two episodes of Supply and Demand,  15 Minutes (developed as part of the National Studio scheme), and several Shakespeare abridgements.  She spent three years in TV as a BBC script editor, was Head of Development for La Plante Productions, director of new writing with the Royal Court Young People's Theatre and, working with Soho Theatre, developed projects for young people in schools and helped launch their Under 11's playwriting scheme in Bangalore. She has also worked with with young people for Creative Partnerships and with adults in a variety of contexts: Soho Theatre's writers' programme, in prisons and rehabilitation centres and for New Writing South. As well as continuing with her own writing she has worked as a producer and programme manager in Rye and Eastbourne.
