We invite you to donate to MSL

MSL is a project-funded company operating with low overheads, drawing from a rich pool of creatives and partners. Our focus on live and digital arts / cultural and heritage subjects mixes detailed research with interactive delivery and, often, stunning theatricality.

Help us develop and sustain our vision

Over our decade of work in Hastings we have delivered over 35 separate programmes and projects, ranging from street arts to large-scale performance to learning and hands-on masterclasses for young and older people alike.

We have commissioned more than 120 pieces of new work and employed almost 150 artists and creatives to date.

For five years we have been experimenting with free on-the-street WiFi as a platform for artists and heritage narratives showcased on an interactive digital map.

In 2019 we critiqued and debated the purposes and value of a community digital exchange at a conference, Is This For Everyone?. The answer was a resounding ‘yes’. So we continue to work on the vision for realising this.

In the same year we launched MSL Discover – a not-for-profit development vehicle for learning and innovation. Some of our plans are outlined here.

Help us make up-and-coming work

Hag Stones: an interactive game and book for younger children, putting them back into history.

Rock On, Rock Fair: a rollicking participatory street performance set to tour town centres in England in 2023.

Smart Heritage: a more fully-realised version of our interactive map that can be adapted to any town anywhere.

Digital Heritage: Flying Squad ‘open’ data-led approach to researching, sorting and re-presenting historic place-based and community-based data for cultural and touristic re-use.

Work with us.
